Walk the hall at the hour you will actually use it. Stand where the stage will sit, then walk the longest guest path to a restroom and a service door.
Ask where the load-in happens, where speeches bounce, and whether the foyer can hold a late arrival without blocking the room. If the answer is vague, keep looking.
